Standing Room only in the Fight against Tox-Ick!<\/p>\n

It was Standing Room Only at the\u00a0Tox-Ick.org<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u201cDon\u2019t Feed the Tox-Ick Monster\u201d presentation given at Alaska Air Headquarters hosted by their Award Winning Green Team,<\/a> and made possible by a Green Grant from King County Wastewater Treatment Division.<\/p>\n

Already top of class for in flight recycling and fuel economy, Alaska Air is always looking for more ways to help the environment. \u00a0Bringing in Laura James from\u00a0Tox-Ick.org<\/a>\u00a0to present \u201cSeven Simple Solutions for Restoring Puget Sound\u201d made for a perfect match!<\/p>\n

Over $500 in prizes and snacks were donated by local businesses to support the event. \u00a0Contributions included\u00a0earth friendly car washes donated by Brown Bear<\/a> and Elephant<\/a>, oil changes from Alki Auto Repair, \u00a0Seattle Aquarium<\/a> tickets, a day’s driving credit and 50% off first year membership from Zipcar<\/a>,\u00a0 TorChia Chips from Whale Tail Chips<\/a> and assorted other prizes thanks to the Alaska Air Green Team. \u00a0The prizes have the added benefit of helping audience members make better lifestyle choices that protect Puget Sound.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
